Cumberland Surety, Inc. acts as a surety general agent, representing National, "A Rated", "T-Listed" insurers. Producing agents can access these markets through us. Using our relationships with the company underwriters, we can help you find the market most interested in your particular class/size of client.

You don't need to set up a formal relationship with Cumberland to use our services. Call us and discuss the account. We'll let you know what information we'll need and what applications will have to be completed. If we're successful, we have the ability to execute bonds for our carriers in 17 states. In most others, the carrier issues the bond. We usually handle bond delivery and premium collection through the producing agent.

It's important that you don't waste time copying, FAXing and mailing volumes of material to companies who are not markets for your risk. We work hard to get enough early information to prevent asking for tons of information when we don't feel we can help your client.

The best way to measure our value to your agency is through the testing of our approach and attitude. We'll be happy to review one or more of your accounts on a "what if” basis" to give you a feel for our manner and style of doing business.
